Bring on Christopher Brosius. Wild Hunt in one elbow crook, I am a Dandelion in the other. On the left, the dirt from Black March gets tossed about with the tops and bottoms of violets, and the resulting dust up is a fantastic melange of green and earth and trompling through the forest. On the right, the sun shines down on a freshly opened flower, but dandelion sap keeps it all from being saccharine sweet. Something else, too, but I'm still rooting around...this is my first trip with IamD.
(Not only am I a dandelion, I am cheating. I had intended to only pop the Spring is Coming fragrances just before the actual smelling of spring. But I can't afford a vacation, so...)
Actually, the ability to root around is just what I needed. If I can't dig out my trowel, unwrap carefully packaged bareroot plants, check on my emerging seedlings...this will do. Thanks, CB. I don't hate perfume, necessarily, but I do love some of the things you have to offer.

I'm doing it with violets and a little muguet here and there. Violets and Rainwater is not quite perfect for right now but LZ's Domino Viole is working quite well - perhaps because it feels like Violets at Night???
And I lied about the muguet. I meant that odd, greeny muguet-like (maybe LOTV stems?) that Drama Nuui is conjuring for me....?
And I bought a pot of hyacinths for my bedroom. They are just beginning to open up and it's the sweet/sharp/laser smell of very early spring

Rather bizarrely we have had more snow in London than for 18 years this week so spring seems very far away... but I've had a weird need to wear Coco Mademoiselle throughout the snow- I think it's because it was one of my first adult perfumes and it's comforting (the snow has made the transport system very limited and it's all a bit stressful!) Rx
I have CB shipped to my stateside abode...there are just a few you can't get via online, including Cradle of Light (blast!!).
It *has* been a thorough winter for northern latitude dwellers, I think. Long, deep, intensely chilled...your Coco M need is interesting. I, as readers could tell, was going through that sweet phase, and certain that it was cold related. Am heading back toward orientals, but with a sidetrack toward fresh and vegetals--probably a little bit o' brain foolery. Or consolation.
Here's to all of us riding the end of winter in good spirit and finding spring in the not TOO distant future...

Hyacinths. Lovely. Actually, I'm now kicking myself...I didn't start any forced bulbs, which I usually do around or after the holidays. I'd be enjoying some paperwhites now...

I am doing the same thing trying not to reach for the spring scents but it rather hard when I we have had spring weather.

Well, that is the way of spring, isn't it? Steps forward, steps back...last week at this time there was over a foot of snow in my yard. Now, gone.
But we know spring *will* eventually come in fully....
There is something about the itching for spring come February, no? I am worthless in gardening, therefore I am leaving those adventures to those that are better than me.
Dandelion sounds nice.
