Hi, Trish...
If the colors were a bit more saturated, I think it would be a fantastic match for Lyric all around. But certainly in spirit, this match works for me...do give Lyric a try!
Lovely choices! HOpe you had a good Valentine's day!
I would pair the O'Keefe with Blu Notte. It's a sparse composition with a nicely hazy iris note and a darker veil of mysterious notes.
Your choices are spot on... Love the images... especially Edward Munch...
Hope you had a great Valentine's Day! xx
Hi, E...
I did have a fine Valentine's Day, and a wonderful concert the day after (yesterday). It's been a good weekend.
Hmmm...once again, you point me in the direction of a new scent...Blu Notte has not been on radar; I'll seek it out now.
And I hope your Valentine's Day was wonderful as well, DC!
It's fun to think about images and scent...glad you enjoyed. :)
Hi SS,
Do you mind deleting my previous posts? It used my full name and I don't know why. Thanks!
Hello, I keep trying to comment but it doesn't seem to be letting me so am trying again! Miller Harris Le Petit Grain for L'enfant a l'orange. Hope this works!
Trish,
I hate losing your comments, but understand...done!
Rose,
You're in! Got it...and I like it. Will try to add it in.
Thanks SS,
That crazy auto-fill, and my trigger finger are a bad combo you know?
Let me try to remember what I said....I know I mentioned that I need to bust out my Jubilation sample (still do!) And probably how you'd nailed it w/ the Magie Noir image. I had that perfume on the brain before you posted it. Isn't that strange how that happens?
You're quite welcome, Trish. I certainly understand about itchy and happy trigger fingers... ;)
Yeah, the scent zeitgeist can be a weird thing. You hadn't mentioned Magie Noir (or the brain thing) previously...it was your grandmother and the Tea Rose... and I think I forgot to say "wecome."
Welcome! :)
Oh yeah, Tea Rose! My grandmother wore that all the time. I think maybe seeing that bottle on her dresser and smelling it on her at such an early age primed me to become the perfume obsessed gal that I am.
Don't know why I had been thinking about Magie Noir. Both my mom and I wore that when I was in high school. Those were the days :-)
