And they said it wouldn't last...

...I know *I've* said it in the past.

But today, a mild-side-of-cool fall day, Bois des Iles went for more than eight hours. Yes, e-i-g-h-t, "8," two-cubed, behind the eight-ball, pieces of eight "eight."

At nine hours, it's still on my skin...close...but still...

Who knew?

Wow, never had that effect with this fragrance, my skin seems to suck this baby up.

Actually, I've had the same experience with BdI. While soft, it is a tenacious little beast. I can smell it on myself (doubt others can) after a full day at the office.

Hello, you two...

Your comments help bolster the individual chemistry argument, don't they?

And my experiences have now bridged the gap. I once applied BdI on a concert day, thinking it was the perfect scent for the occasion, and it was gone before the conductor raised the baton.

And then yesterday's experience.

Maybe my skin eats things up in performance situations? Must investigate more fully... (it's a rough passion, this is...) ;)

Tenacity, sometimes a friend, sometimes an enemy... :P Went scent-sniffing on Friday afternoon and tried something awful (I already forgot what it was called too..) It of course perfumed the long sleeved shirt I was wearing, but even more bizarrely, it managed to contaminate the coat I wore *later* that evening over the same shirt. The coat still smells today :( Why do the frags we love never last that long?

Divina...you are so right. I guess I should be embracing the fickle allegiances of tenacity in scent as I do in life. After all, some beauty enjoys longevity, other is fleeting...

Hope that coat airs out soon.... ;)

I am also in the camp for whom BDI lasts and lasts!

The plot thickens! Two more speak, and each falls on either side of the divide. Hmm...

(And happiness to Rose, regrets to Aimee!)
